This course prepares technicians to safely manage one of the most critical situations in their professional activity: the evacuation of passengers trapped in lifts. Throughout the training, participants will learn about the most common causes of entrapment incidents and how to distinguish between automatic and manual rescue systems, understanding how they operate, their limitations, and the conditions under which technician intervention is required.

The course provides a practical approach to manual rescue operations, covering each stage from the initial assessment to the application of the safest procedure for each scenario. Particular emphasis is placed on the importance of following clear protocols that protect both passengers and professionals, and on becoming familiar with the equipment and tools required to carry out these operations effectively.

In addition, participants will gain an understanding of the regulations in force governing who is authorised to carry out rescue operations and under what conditions, as well as the situations in which collaboration with emergency services such as the fire brigade or civil protection is required. As a result, technicians will develop the confidence and level of preparedness needed to respond quickly, effectively and with complete safety in any rescue situation.
