Our Journey
The Beginning
We established the first specialised training organisation in the lift sector worldwide and introduced ourselves at Interlift 2013 in Augsburg. Our first course was the online seminar “Technological Trends”.
Three Seeds
In 2014, we planted the seeds of what would become Docensas’ three development streams: face-to-face multi-brand technical training in Seville; management training with the first edition of our hybrid-format executive programme; and internationalisation with our first international course in Nigeria on EN 81 standards delivered via videoconference.
International Expansion
We signed an agreement with AIECE in Portugal and began delivering training in Latin America.
Launch of Interactive Online Courses
To provide universal access for technicians, we began developing multi-brand interactive online courses. We obtained CPD certification in the United Kingdom.
A Fourth Development Stream: Collective Learning. Customer Experience Workshops
In June, in coordination with FEPYMA, we launched what we call “collective learning” — a development pathway that delivers value to sector associations. We pioneered customer experience training through in-company workshops.
Supervisors’ Programme
We launched the first edition of our Supervisors’ Programme, which has continued year after year. We organised and sponsored the first national congress for lift SMEs in Madrid, marking a milestone in the sector. We also contributed articles to Elevatori magazine.
Multi-Brand Online Courses
After years of preparation, we launched the first multi-brand online courses using an innovative methodology that remains unique across any industrial sector.
Industrial Foresight Observatory
Progressive development of online courses. Creation of the Industrial Foresight Observatory following the agreement with AECAE to coordinate the association. During the pandemic, we also organised and sponsored the first European online congress for lift SMEs, with simultaneous interpretation in five languages.
Expansion of the Online Course Catalogue
Ongoing development of interactive online courses on preventive and corrective maintenance of lift components, achieving NPS scores well above the online training average.
Docensas in Italy
We signed an agreement with the ANACAM association in Italy.
Docensas in France. International Symposium
Initial steps in delivering specialised technical training in France with companies associated with ANPA. In May, we organised and sponsored the International Symposium on Elevation and Building Mobility (SIEME) in Zaragoza.
The Compass Programmes
After more than a decade of training and mentoring executives and supervisors, we launched a company management and supervision programme based on a unique pedagogical methodology.
Collective Learning
It is part of our mission to ensure that sectors learn collectively. Associations are an essential pillar of any healthy civil society. In the business environment, they are even more necessary for small and medium-sized enterprises, which do not have the resources of large corporations. At Docensas, we support associations through coordination and sponsorship.
We work to embed a strong training culture by sharing knowledge within associations and by taking part in the events they promote: forums, congresses, symposiums, in-person conferences, online technical meetings, messaging groups and professional networking forums.

The Federación Española de Pymes de Ascensores (FEPYMA) (Federation of Associations of Small and Medium-Sized Lift Companies) is an organisation that represents the interests of small and medium-sized enterprises specialising in the lift sector in Spain.
Its main objective is to promote the development and competitiveness of these companies, as well as to defend their rights and interests within the legislative and regulatory framework.
Since 2017, we have been responsible for coordinating the Federation.

The Asociación Española de Compañías de Ascensores (AECAE) (Spanish Association of Lift Companies) represents and defends the interests of companies engaged in the design and manufacture of products and services for the lift sector in Spain.
It is an Innovative Business Group (AEI) recognised by the Ministry of Industry. Its objective is to foster innovation and competitiveness among member companies, participate in the development of standards and represent the manufacturing sector at international level.
Since 2020, Docensas has provided coordination services for the Association. As coordinators, we organise events such as the Industrial Foresight Observatory (OAI) and the International Symposium on Elevation and Building Mobility (SIEME).
