The reality faced by managers and technical managers of lift maintenance companies and other industrial equipment requires continuous technological updating.
Technological change can outpace the annual planning cycle. It is not only the tools that evolve; the vision and the decision-making processes of those who use them also change.
There is no need to be alarmist, but it is healthy for companies to explore the trends and methodologies that are already shaping the present of the sector in one way or another: predictive maintenance, BIM, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity…
What is the Technological Update Programme for Maintenance?
The Technological Update Programme for Maintenance is the result of a long-standing training activity that began in 2013 and has included predictive maintenance knowledge since 2021. This year, we are expanding the programme with a workshop on generative artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, BIM methodology, and the management of teams and digital transformation processes.
This is the knowledge we want to share so that any technical manager can understand the methods that enable them to take full advantage of the opportunities offered by innovation.
Our aim is for programme participants, guided by leading experts, to develop a clear mental framework in which new developments have practical meaning, enhancing their judgement when distinguishing between genuine progress and false promises.

New Technologies
Sensorisation and the Internet of Things (IoT)
Enable the collection of real-time data from electromechanical equipment and its performance, facilitating early fault detection and improving maintenance-related decision-making.
Generative Language Models
Support documentation, data analysis and interpretation, reducing the time required for reporting, diagnostics and client communication. They are also useful for route optimisation, training planning, change management processes, and relationships with clients and suppliers.
Predictive Maintenance
Optimize equipment availability, reduces unplanned downtime, and extends asset service life by anticipating failures. It improves planning by reducing uncertainty and service call-outs.
Building Information Modelling (BIM)
Provide an integrated view of the lift in relation to the building, improving coordination with other systems. Building owners are beginning to use this methodology to manage all their electromechanical equipment, and the lift is no exception. Understanding file formats and their uses enables us to speak the same language as our client.
Cibersecurity
Protect connected lift systems against cyberattacks, preventing physical safety risks, financial losses, and reputational damage.
Task Automation
Connect different systems and processes automatically through APIs, eliminating repetitive tasks and reducing administrative errors, thereby freeing up time for higher-value activities.
Do you have any questions?
